About
Advertiser Disclosure
How CompareBankLoans earns commissions from the lenders it covers, and the rules that keep editorial independent from those partnerships.
How we earn
CompareBankLoans is an independent comparison service. Most of the lenders we cover have partnership agreements with us. When you click through to a lender from this site and complete an application or fund a loan, the lender may pay us a commission. We never charge you anything to use the site or pre-qualify.
What partnerships do NOT affect
- Whether a lender appears in our rankings.
- Where the lender ranks within a category.
- The editorial score we assign.
- The pros and cons we surface in reviews.
What it may affect
- Whether we have a deep-link "Apply" button to a lender (only partners have these).
- Sponsored placement labels, which are always clearly disclosed as such.
- Featured-card highlighting on certain category pages, also clearly labeled.
FTC compliance
We follow the FTC's endorsement guides. Every page with affiliate links carries an Advertiser Disclosure banner. Specific affiliate links are labeled when ambiguous. We do not offer compensated reviews — every review on this site is written independently by an editorial author.
How you can verify our independence
Our methodology (linked from every page's "How we rate" badge) describes the scoring rubric. Methodology weights have changed zero times since launch. If a lender appears in our top 3 in a category, you can verify that placement was earned on the rubric — not paid for.
