Compare Merchant Cash Advance Providers

Fast, expensive financing. Read the fine print.

Merchant cash advances aren't loans — they're advance purchases of future revenue. That distinction matters legally (MCAs aren't subject to usury laws or APR disclosure rules) and practically (effective APRs typically run 60-200%+). Compare providers carefully; these products fit very few situations.

Frequently asked questions

  • Are MCAs the same as a loan?
No — legally they're an advance purchase of future receivables, not a loan. This means no APR disclosure, no usury cap protections, and recovery via direct ACH debit rather than standard collection. The financial effect is similar to a loan but the legal framework is different.
  • What's the effective APR on an MCA?
Typically 60-200% APR equivalent, though the lender quotes a 'factor rate' like 1.35x instead. Use an MCA APR calculator before signing — the number is usually shocking compared to the factor rate.
  • When does an MCA make sense?
Almost never if other options are available. The narrow case: you have a clear, immediate revenue-generating opportunity (e.g., a confirmed large order that requires upfront inventory) and no alternative funding source can deliver in time.
  • Can I refinance an MCA?
Sometimes — specialized MCA-consolidation lenders exist. They roll multiple MCAs into a single term loan, typically still at high rates but better than continuing the original MCAs. Avoid the stacking trap (taking new MCAs to pay old MCAs).
